Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations, process improvement initiatives, and manufacturing system integration activities. The ideal candidate will have foundational manufacturing knowledge and exposure to ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, within a production environment. Experience in foam manufacturing and fabrication processes will be considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing, developing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Support production teams in troubleshooting process issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production.
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support production tracking, inventory control, and reporting activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support equipment validation, process changes, and engineering change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provide support for manufacturing activities involving foam processing and fabrication when required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience acceptable).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Exposure to foam manufacturing processes and/or fabrication operations (considered a strong asset).
  • Experience or familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
  • Understanding production planning, inventory management, and quality systems.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or fabrication environment.
