Position Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are professionally responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing and production processes within various industries. They play a critical role in improving efficiency, quality, and safety while reducing costs and waste in the production process. Key Responsibilities: Process Design, Process Optimization, Equipment Selection and Installation, Data Analysis, Quality Control, Safety Compliance, Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction, Training and Documentation, & Project Management.

Job Description (Function and Responsibilities):

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing workflows, including assembly lines, machining, and automated systems.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve issues related to equipment, process, and materials.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to optimize production processes and reduce cycle times.
  • Analyze and improve production layouts and workstations to minimize waste and improve flow.
  • Support the introduction of new products by designing and testing new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Quality Assurance, R&D, and Supply Chain to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within manufacturing processes.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
  • Train and mentor manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Effective and well-developed communication skills.
  • Preferably Mechanical Engineering or Technologist Graduate.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ manufacturing experience, including computer application software and manufacturing systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications and functionalities.
  • Team player to interface and service inter-departmental and customer needs.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and technical competency.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949/ISO9001:2015 Systems requirement.
